Accountant

Requirements:
• Competency in preparing local, state, and federal taxes for a small company
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in an accounting capacity (preferred)
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance with a GPA of 3.0+
• A focus on teamwork and flexibility, as well as the capacity to work well under pressure
• Great interpersonal skills for working with diverse personnel/departments throughout the company
• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online software is a plus
• Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs (candidate will be tested)
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Documents (preferred)
• The availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time
• Experience with a startup (preferred)
• Passion to build a startup
• Strong quantitative and writing skills
• Reliable transportation (applicable to L.A. candidates only)
• Ability to complete other duties, as assigned

Skills:
• Record all transactions to the ledger in Quickbooks Online
• Reconcile general ledger, journal entries, and bank statements
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Analyze monthly financials and performance metrics in pursuit of improving cash flow and business efficiency
• Compare and analyze annual budgets and cash flow forecasts with actual results
• Prepare and submit annual and quarterly taxes to city, county, state, and federal authorities.

Bookkeeper

Job Summary

Are you looking for a remote position to provide bookkeeping services? Are you a responsive, customer-focused professional with compelling accounting or payroll experience? This role will provide assistance to clients with bookkeeping and accounting and payroll-related responsibilities.

Responsibilities
• Recording financial transactions and balancing the books
• Reconciling client accounts with bank statements and other source documents (credit and debit card statements, etc) to confirm accuracy
• Cash flow management
• Budget review and management
• Maintain and manage chart of accounts
• Processing accounts receivable and payable
• Processing payroll related items
• Preparing financial statements (balance sheet, income statements, budget variance), etc as well as customized reports

Skills and Experience
• Must be able to write and speak fluently in English and be an excellent communicator
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field or or equivalent verifiable work experience
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting and/or with payroll
• Quick books proficiency (desktop and online) and outstanding reporting skills
• Experience with Non-profits is a plus
• Experience with Bill.com is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including; Word, Excel and/or Google Suite including: Docs, Sheets and Slides
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Virtual Assistant Accounting/Bookkeeping

Job Description:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic finance assistant to support our financial department.
To be successful as a finance assistant, you should have strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organizational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks). A top-notch finance assistant should have integrity, excellent mathematical skills, and an understanding of data privacy standards.
• Creating, sending, and following up on invoices.
• Collecting and reviewing data for reports.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Data entry.
• Track PTO.
• Keeping track of educational budget.
• Support the staff with questions related to payments.


Qualifications:
